In every person’s life, there may be moments when we feel overwhelmed by the course of events and when it is difficult for us to understand what is happening to us. Therefore, it is difficult to find the right solutions to the situations we find ourselves in.
Naturally, we are endowed with wonderful resources, such as creativity and the ability to adapt. The human psyche is naturally designed to seek development and evolution. When we no longer find ways to manage difficult moments, we have most likely distanced ourselves from our true selves, blocking access to our adaptive resources and therefore disrupting the vital flow.
Whether we are dealing with depression, anxiety, or panic attacks, or if we are experiencing a lack of self-confidence and a feeling of helplessness, initiating a therapeutic process can be the solution to these symptoms of a disturbed functioning of our psyche. Relational difficulties inside the couple, in personal or professional contexts, can also be understood and addressed in the company of a specialized psychotherapist.
What is psychotherapy?
To put it simply, psychotherapy can be understood as the work of removing the obstacles that stand in the way of a person navigating life in a healthy way. Having a scientific, structured, and dynamic character, psychotherapy is a conscious endeavor to restructure the functioning of the human psyche system in order to improve it and increase well-being.
Starting a therapeutic process is a sign of health, a mature and committed commitment to taking care of oneself; the ability to notice that there are aspects of life that we would like to transform and our action in this regard, seeking specialized support, is evidence of mental and emotional health.
Each psychotherapeutic process is unique; it adapts to your needs, personality structure and objectives to be achieved.
We work collaboratively, with you providing continuous feedback, and we can quantify the results of therapy together at any time, ensuring that we are on the right track.
The therapeutic relationship and alliance are the primary factors in therapy success. In this regard, I bring respect, gentleness, and dedication, and I invite you to bring your curiosity. Trust and confidentiality are essential.
A safe and open environment is crucial for you to be able to share deep emotions, and for therapy to be effective. The techniques and therapeutic approaches will vary depending on the specifics of the process (you can consult the list of my training and specializations here).
The duration of the process is variable, depending on the complexity of the issues and your individual needs. We will work at a pace that suits you.
Psychotherapy is not a ‘magic pill’. Be patient with yourself. It can be similar to a symbolic (re)birth: it requires effort, time, and energy on your part, and we may explore intense emotions. In any case, I am here to accompany and support you at any moment.
